UOFL'S DUMPSTER DIVE RESULTS
![]()
We sorted through 225 lbs. of garbage yesterday, finding 74.2 lbs. (almost 33%) of recyclables, which probably would have been more if some of the things thrown away had not been soiled from being in the garbage. Please remember to recycle everything that you can, and look forward to UofL offering more ways to recycle your waste soon!
STUDENT SEASON TICKET HOLDERS
Student Football ticket pick-up will begin this coming Monday, 8/24/09. Your tickets will be available for pick-up at the Athletic Ticket Office located on the third floor of the Student Activity Center (SAC). Office hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. You must present your U of L ID card and you must be a registered student.
Men's basketball student season ticket pick-up will begin in mid-October. As you are aware, the Student Government Association has introduced a new policy for purchasing student season tickets. You must be registered for at least 7 graded academic credit hours for the Fall AND Spring semesters in order to be eligible for student season tickets. This policy will be implemented with the start of this year's basketball ticket pick-up.
If you have already purchased tickets and will be registered for less than 7 graded academic credit hours but feel your situation qualifies for an exception, there will be an appeals process. There are many circumstances that may prevent you from registering for 7 graded academic credit hours, however, the majority will be due to students co-oping and studying abroad. If you feel your circumstances require further consideration, please fill out the attached form and submit it via email to ticketappeals@gmail.com . The deadline to submit an appeal will be Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 5:00pm. Appeals will NOT be accepted at the SGA office(s), you must send your form in electronically.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are enrolled for 7 hours. Again, If you have already purchased tickets and have now learned that you will not meet the 7 hour requirement, you can either request a refund or fill out an appeal form. If you are registered for less than 7 hours and do not complete the appeal form, you will automatically be issued a refund.
A committee has been formed to review each appeal on a case by case basis. You will be notified of the results, via email, before student pick-up for Men's basketball tickets. If your appeal is denied you will be issued a refund in the form of your original payment.
For questions related to this new requirement and/or the appeals process, please visit the SGA website www.louisville.edu/sga , or call the SGA Office at 502-852-6695. You may also direct questions to the U of L Athletic Ticket Office at 502-852-5863
