The Saturday Academy 20th Anniversary Gala & Program
Friday, June 3, 2011
Tickets are $100 per person. $65 of each ticket sale is tax-deductible as permitted by law.
The Saturday Academy is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and, to commemorate this milestone, we are holding a Saturday Academy Gala, on June 3, 2011, at The Muhammad Ali Center. The program includes Courier-Journal columnist Betty Baye', former NBA and UofL Star Darrell Griffith, a performance by UofL African American Theater Program, and music by the Dave Clark Quintet.
Celebrating 20 years of excellence -- and Building for the Future
The Gala is more than just a celebration; it is also a fund-raiser. As part of the University of Louisville's comprehensive capital campaign, we are establishing the Saturday Academy Endowment Fund to support a chair in Black Public History and support all Saturday Academy programs in perpetuity.
