This position is responsible for all set-ups in the Student
Activities Center and Red Barn. This position is key to the success of out customer
service plan. The individuals in this position will take care of our customers to make
sure that their expect ations and desires are met. The hours of this position are from
Monday through Friday, Noon to 5:00 pm 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on a consistent basis. Their
will be other times where this position will be needed for large set-ups or special
events. Some of t he many duties that this position is responsible for are:
- Provide positive customer relations
- Reports to the Manager On Duty
- Open and lock meeting rooms
- Distribute and collect evaluations from each customer
- Assist the Manager On Duty with special event set-ups and special projects
- Set-up and tear down the Red Barn and Multipurpose Rooms as needed
- Refresh and service meeting rooms
- Wipe off tables
- Vacuum the carpet
- Empty trash cans
- Remove abandoned material
- Clean and restock the dry-erase boards
- Straighten chairs and tables
- Return equipment to Chartwells (University Food Service)
- Set-up, run, and tear down sound and lighting equipment as needed for medium and large
events
- Set-up meeting rooms in accordance with reservation specifications

- Staging, skirting, and stairs
- Pipe and drape
- Audio & visual equipment
