The event is the SWE Genius Bowl. It will occur on Friday, March 26th, 2010 from 5-8pm, in the Duthie Center for Engineering, rooms 116, 117, 118, and 119.

 

Teams are open to the entire University, and will consist of 3 to 5 people. Teams with no less than three people are allowed compete. The entry fee for a three person team is $10, and teams of 4 or 5 cost

$15. The teams will compete against each other for a cash prize. Whoever is the champion will also go against the teacher panel for an extra cash prize.

 

There will be four different types of events; a hands on activity and three quick recall style rounds with topics of UofL Trivia, Pop Culture, and Math and Science. There will be five rounds. The fifth will be against the teacher panel, and the event will be the champion's choice.

 

Spectators will charged $3 for admission. There will activities in between events such as RockBand if people

do not wish to watch every event. There will also be free food and drinks.

 

Only 8-12 teams may participate. If there are more then eight, a round consisting of a mix of the UofL Trivia, Pop Culture, and Math and Science questions will determine the eight that will continue on. Each round will last approximately twenty minutes. If there are any ties between teams after the time limit, a sudden death round consisting of five questions will determine the winner.
