Vesak Festival

Vesak is the major Buddhist festival of the year as it celebrates Buddha's birth, enlightenment and his passing away into Nirvan. It is celebrated on the first full moon day in May. This is a day spent in reflective prayer while lanterns made from bamboo frames and covered in coloured paper are hung outside very home. SLSAUL together with Louisville community has organized its first Vesak festival. SLSAUL whishes you all a happy Vesak !
