Phi Delta Epsilon
Welcome to the official site of the University of Louisville's pre-medical chapter of Phi Delta Epsilon

Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity, represents more than 35,000 members across the world. Founded in 1904, this professional coeducational organization is comprised of medical and premedical students, practicing physicians, and distinguished emeritus members, maintaining active chapters on undergraduate campuses, accredited medical and osteopathic medical schools in nine countries.
The Phi Delta Epsilon Kentucky Beta Chapter is a premedical chapter consisting of a group of students representing a variety of diverse backgrounds and
personalities.

The members of Phi Delta Epsilon learn the importance of working together to gain insight to the practice of medicine by participating in group discussions with practicing physicians in the community and medical school students who are a part of Phi Delta Epsilon’s Phi Chapter. Various fundraising campaigns for non-profit organizations, especially Kosair Children’s Miracle Network, are an important way for the members to increase their awareness of community needs. The fraternity also offers networking opportunities with practicing physicians as a way for individuals to gain hands-on experience in a field of medicine that interests them, not to mention individual volunteering opportunities to get them involved in medicine right at the beginning of their undergraduate career. Phi Delta Epsilon is a unique and positive experience for pre-medical students that promote fellowship, equality and unity.
Over its long history, PhiDE has succeeded in building a network of physicians committed to the following objectives:
* To promote fellowship and mentoring, equality and unity,
* To promote the highest scientific and educational standards,
* To promote, uphold, and maintain the highest standard of ethics on the practice of medicine, medical teaching, and research,
* To promote discussion about social and economic issues related to medicine,
