The L-Raisin' Anglers
The L-Raisin' Anglers is the official bass club of the University of Louisville. It is a club of students who bass fish competitively at the national level against other college bass clubs across the country. Membership is open to any student at the University of Louisville who is in good academic standing and has the desire bass fish competitively.
Club tournaments are hosted throughout the year and usually begin in early March. Members are not required to have their own boat. Club tournaments are held in conjunction with local bass clubs in which those with boats voluntarily take members fishing in return for gas money.
Club tournaments are qualifying events that determine the top anglers to be sent to ESPN's College Smash-Mouth Bass Championship on the Arkansas River in Pine Bluff, AR. The tournament is an all expense paid trip and is filmed for a television show that airs on ESPN-U and ESPN 2. For more information on the event, go to: www.collegebass.com
