What is Golden Key?

• Golden Key recognizes and promotes academic excellence among students. Sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students within the top fifteen percent in academic performance (3.5 GPA) are invited to join. Our society emphasizes diversity and strengthens its relevance by recognizing students in all fields of study, regardless of part- or full-time status. Choosing to affiliate yourself with Golden Key makes an impressive statement to others about your academic achievements and your commitment to success and the community.

Induction ceremony

• In the fall semester our chapter holds the new member induction ceremony as a way to recognize new members of Golden Key here at the University of Louisville. We are excited to have such an excellent group of new inductees become part of our chapter!

Benefits

• A significant benefit of membership in Golden Key is the opportunity to earn scholarship money for your studies. Three junior or senior members will receive scholarships from the Ford Motor Company / Golden Key Undergraduate Scholarships that are awarded annually here at the University of Louisville. There will be one $500 and two $250 scholarships awarded this year. It will be awarded sometime in the Spring semester. The scholarship winners will be chosen objectively based on academic achievement, campus activities and extracurricular activities. Active participation in our chapter is weighted more heavily in the evaluation - so we encourage you to get involved today!
• At the International level, Golden Key offers many undergraduate scholarships for which you can apply. The Undergraduate Scholarship application can be found online at: goldenkey.org. You will need to enter your Golden Key ID#. You can also call Member Services at (800) 377-2401.
