Aside from tabling for educational purposes and writing letters to politcians and the editor of our school paper, we have also held some fun events.

We celebrated the 30th anniversary of Roe V. Wade by hosting an on-campus coffee shop with free coffee provided by Heine Bros. Read the story in the Cardinal.
Off campus, we held a fundraiser at the Rudyard Kipling. Juanita, Rramsey Grissom, Front Porch Campaign, and the Defilers all sweetly donated their talents for a hugely successful event.

FEBRUARY 2003
National Condom Week. We handed out condoms on campus and at bars around town. Lolli-condoms were the favorite!

MARCH 2003
We kicked off our emergency contraception campaign when we tabled at Loretta Ross's speech on African Americans and Reproductive Rights.
A few of us attended important conferences this month and came back with a lot to share.

APRIL 2003
What a busy month. We tabled at Ani Difranco's concert, held a genitalia cookie bake sale, co-sponsored Body Acceptance Week, and continued our emergency contraception campaign on campus.

Vox hosted a teach-out on emergency contraception in as part of the Student Activist Network's Educate to Liberate series.

JUNE 2003
We celebrated a successful year and began our self-education tour of the summer.

JULY 2003
We participated in Forecastle 2003, despite resistance from the organizers to our pro-choice message. Read our commentary on it.

We made an important decision to celebrate our autonomy and changed our name from Vox: Voices for Planned Parenthood to FLOR.

AUGUST 2003
Non-yard sale to raise funds for our zine, Non-issue.
We also tabled at Women's Equality Day on campus. We handed out copies of our brand new zine, also completed this month.

SEPTEMBER 2003
We set up info tables at the Arts & Sciences picnic and at PEACC's hugely successful Take Back the Night event--a protest against domestic violence and a memorial for Elaine Fonseca Rodríguezz.

OCTOBER 2003
commonGround invited us to table at their awareness-raising event in honor of National Coming Out Day. They roped off a section of campus with caution tape and put up signs that warned passers-by that live homosexual acts were being performed within the area. Students proceeded to do their everyday activities in the roped off area; our table was set up outside the tape...

"Talking about Freedom of Choice," presented by the ACLU of Ky.'s Reproductive Freedom Project, brought together students on campus to  discuss how we talk about choice.

Campus Equity Week Events. We helped organize a film screening and discussion, then tabled for two full days to raise awareness about the exploitation of "part-time" teachers on campus.

JANUARY 2004
2nd annual Roe v. Wade celebration, this time at Vernon Bowling Lanes. The  Dirty Soul Party spun music, and everybody bowled their hearts out. We had quite a turnout.

FEBRUARY 2004
We celebrated V-day, a worlwide movement--begun by Eve Ensler-- to end violence against women, with a bake sale (vagina cookies, of course) and a reading of Ensler's  Vagina Monolgues. At our table, PEACC  provided info about violence against women.
