Justice and Service

CCM helps to connect students to opportunities to serve others and to the rich tradition of Catholic Social Teaching. Our student Justice and Service Council coordinates all of our outreach and education efforts. 2011-12 opportunities include:

Help at the Backside Learning Center at Churchill Downs

Our students are partnering with this facility at Churchill Downs to tutor and provide other resources for the residents. Contact catholic@uoflinterfaithcenter.com for more details!

Exceptional Equitation

CCM students help throughout the year at this handicapped horseback riding program and summer camp. Program is housed in LaGrange, KY - volunteers from U of L carpool together. Please contact Sarah at catholic@louisville.edu for information about volunteering.

Alternative Spring Break - March 11-17, 2012

CCM joins other campus ministries in the Interfaith Center in sponsoring two trips during U of L's Spring Break. Watch the bulletin or facebook group for more details in late fall. Christian Appalachian Project - 10 openings Other trip location TBA - 40 openings Student cost - $250 without fundraising ($150 if you participate in at least 2 fundraising opportunities through the Interfaith Center)
