Welcome to the Catholic Campus Ministry at the University of Louisville
Inspired by the Gospel, Catholic Campus Ministry at U of L carries
on the tradition of university ministry begun by Cardinal Newman in
1852. Supported by the Archdiocese of Louisville, we seek to support the Catholic community on campus. Each Sunday we celebrate Mass together at 5pm in the Interfaith
Center. We also share food, fun and friendship, as we search out what
it means to be Roman Catholic in the midst of a secular university.
We offer many opportunities for Catholic students, faculty and staff at U of L to live out their faith on and off campus. We also share our faith's spirit of ecumenical and interfaith dialogue as members of the Interfaith Center and public university life.
Following the vision set forth by the US Bishop's pastoral on Campus Ministry "Empowered by the Spirit," we work toward the following goals:
Forming a Faith Community
Appropriating the Faith
Forming the Christian Conscience
Educating for Justice
Facilitating Personal Development
Developing Leaders for the Future
