Research Park - Product Innovation and Realization video

J B Speed School of Engineering, Research Park, Product Innovation, Product Realization, Additive Manufacturing Research This video shows former President Ramsey near the site of the future research park. In the background you see heavy equipment working on the bridge which will allow access from Floyd Street and also a photo of the historic brick Drop Forge Building. Former Governor Beshear presents the architectural drawings showing the possible location of buildings & parking, green space and its relationship to the current Speed School complex. He goes on to explain how faculty, staff and students hope to use this site to impact and assist local industry. Then Larry Clark from the Kentucky House of Representatives speaks about the investment of our Governor and President Ramsey in making this project a reality. Next Dean Pinto, J B Speed School of Engineering is shown on the outdoor platform with other guests as he talks about connecting manufacturing in Kentucky to the world via a digital platform through this research park. Jim King, President of Louisville Metro Council speaks from the platform about their appreciation for the University of Louisville and the contributions made to the community and city. Finally, Bob Hughes, Chair of the UofL Board of Trustees, speaks about the positive influence of UofL locally and beyond the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
