Universities are increasingly faced with situations requiring articulated procedures for the protection of sensitive research data. The principles underlying the requirements for protection of export controlled technology, information protected under the Confidential Information Protection and Statistical Efficiency Act of 2002 (CIPSEA), and other sensitive data may use a standardized approach. This Webinar will provide a template for developing Technology Control Plans required for export controlled data that can be adapted for other purposes.
By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
- Be able to define the basis underpinning the requirements for protection of sensitive data.
- Develop procedures for protecting sensitive data including export-controlled information.
- Be able to thoroughly review security plans for protecting sensitive data.
