The NIH Commons is a web-based interface that allows universities, PI's, and NIH to conduct research business electronically. Presently the system allows PI's to check on the status of their submissions and to process yearly progress reports. Later this year University expects to implement a plan that will enable PI's to submit proposals electronically through the Commons rather than by paper.
