Clinical trials initiated by industry sponsors should be registered as well, in accordance with the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) requirements.

In either case, it is recognized that any contract for clinical research involving University faculty will include a provision for reporting language that will allow the University to disclose the name of the Sponsor, the name of the Investigator, a non-confidential title of the research, the aggregate budget for the research, and the period of time for the research project.
