2008 Kentucky SBIR/STTR Conference and Workshops

More than $2.2 Billion are available in the SBIR/STTR program for small technology businesses and entrepreneurs

Proposal Development Workshops: (February 26, 2008 and March 3-4, 2008)
The February 26 workshop, given by Bob Berger of Robert Berger Consulting, targets all federal agencies. The March 3-4 workshop, given by Lisa Kurek of BBC, focuses on developing proposals for NIH. The workshops allow time for questions and answers, and help you understand the process in crafting a fundable proposal.

The Conference:(April 24-25, 2008)
This fiscal year, eleven federal agencies will award more than $2.2 billion to small and start-up firms that perform innovative, high-risk R&D and commercialize the resulting technologies. These awards will be made through the SBIR and STTR programs. KY companies should explore this source of capital. A limited number of registration fee scholarships for the April 24-25 conference will be available for Kentucky companies. These scholarships have been provided by the CED/DCI and are available on a first-come basis. Contact drempfer@kstc.com prior to online registration to inquire about scholarship availability.
