Bioinformatics at the University of Kentucky

The bioinformatics resources at the University of Kentucky aims to meet the needs of biomedical researchers, primarily at the University of Kentucky, although collaborative arrangements are encouraged. Databases and software to manage genomic data are being developed with a focus on analyzing microarray, proteomic and next-generation sequencing data, as well as emerging new technologies for gene expression analysis. Developmental projects in statistical data analysis and infrastructure support in the Microarray Facility are also supported. Much of the bioinformatics effort is in conjunction with and in support of the Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences Center, particularly its Biomedical Informatics Core.
