Clinical Translational Sciences Pilot Grant Program and Awards
The Clinical and Translational Science Pilot Grant Program, supported by funds from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, is a peer reviewed, rigorous, competitive program that promotes clinical and translational research at the University of Louisville.
The Clinical and Translational Science Pilot Grant Program includes 3 levels of funding: The Basic Translational Research Awards (up to $50,000), the Advanced Translational Research Awards (up to $100,000) and the Innovative Translational Research Awards (up to $250,000). Review criteria are scientific merit, potential for translational applications, innovation, and alignment with the University Strategic Goals.
Outcomes expected are new and exciting opportunities for translation of ideas to practice and use that will benefit all. The Clinical and Translational Science Pilot Grant Program will promote interdisciplinary interactions and impact not only the health of the people of Kentucky but also the economy of Kentucky. Outcomes for all funded proposals will be followed to ensure that the State receives a reasonable return on its investment (e.g. disclosure, licensing, patent development and funding of external grants that bring attention to Kentucky).
