Holly Symonds Clark, PhD

Holly Clark, Ph.D., is the deputy director of the Commercialization EPI-Center. Her primary responsibilities include evaluating, licensing and marketing of research disclosures from the University of Louisville’s medical campus, with a special focus on cancer-related technologies. She also helps lead, cultivate and guide the team while building relationships with researchers and industry leaders.

Prior to joining the team at UofL, Holly received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Maryland, then earned her Ph.D in molecular biology and genetics from the University of Pittsburgh. Holly was a senior technology transfer specialist within the technology transfer branch of the National Cancer Institute for eight years before moving to Louisville.

Holly likes that her work is part of helping to spread technologies and research discoveries that can have a positive impact on people’s lives. Holly’s office decor reveals her love for her family, palm trees and the Muppets. In her free time, she can be found running in various races across the state or spending time with her family.
