In 2007, the University of Louisville’s Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) was established to:

    1)  Expand and fully integrate the “academic home” for clinical and translational research.

    2)  Create a multidisciplinary program in research education and career development, utilizing advanced degrees that train the next generation of clinical and translational investigators.

    3) Provide the necessary clinical research resources and translational technologies as well as support in areas such as bioinformatics, biostatistics and ethics to create novel and clinical and translational research.

    4)  Fully engage the unique and highly diverse population of Kentucky in research and translate our research findings into the community to improve the overall health and well being of its populace.

    The CTSI is led by:

Craig McClain, M.D., Director CTSI, has overall responsibility for the administration of the CTSI.

He will be assisted by an External Advisory Committee, Internal Advisory Committee, Executive Committee and a CORES committee.
