Special Dates for Graduating Students

The May 2011 Commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011.

The December 2011 Commencement ceremony will be held Friday evening, December 16, 2011.

The May 2012 Commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012.

Students who wish to participate in commencement ceremonies must complete forms for apparel and participation. These forms and complete commencement information may be found on the Commencement website at http://louisville.edu/commencement.

Degree Applications: The degree application process will be available on the Web through ULink (ulink.louisville.edu). The application period for Summer is April 15 - June 7; for Fall is July 15 - September 15; and for Spring is November 15 - February 3. All candidates for degrees, whether or not participating in Commencement, must apply for degrees according to the deadlines above. Students with questions regarding applications for degree should contact their advising center or call the Registrar's Office at (502) 852-6522.

Holidays

University offices will be closed on all of the holidays listed below with the exception of the Fall Midterm Break (October 10-11), November 23 (open until noon) and the Spring Midterm Vacation (March 12-18).

Summer, 2011 Holidays

• Memorial Day Holiday: May 30
• Independence Day Holiday: July 4

Fall, 2011 Holidays

• Labor Day Holiday: September 5
• Mid-term break: October 10-11
• Thanksgiving Break: November 23 - November 27

University offices will be closed on December 23rd at noon and re-open on January 3rd.

Spring, 2012 Holidays

• Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: January 16
• Midterm Vacation: March 12-18
• Holiday for course sections ending in '98' or '99': March 16, 17 & 18
