Women's Stress & Aging Study

Funded by the National Institutes of Health and the University of Louisville

Every WomanThe Women’s Stress and Aging Study is a multidisciplinary study designed to provide insight into connections between psychological stress over the course of women’s lives and the aging process.

Why is this Study Important?

One in five women is between the ages of 45 and 60.  Life stress can affect the quality of these vital years.  Stressful marriages or intimate relationships are, unfortunately, common among women.   The Women’s Stress and Aging Study aims to understand how women recover emotionally and physically from such experiences.  In the long run, this study may help us learn ways to promote women’s healthy aging.
