Interested in pursuing doctoral studies in the UofL Stress & Health Lab? Consider these questions first.

  • Have you completed an empirical honors thesis, or comparable research, in psychology or a related life sciences or social sciences field?

  • Have you successfully completed college courses in the life sciences, such as biology and chemistry?

  • Do you have interests in the biological bases of mind and behavior?

  • Do you enjoy statistics, and do you have excellent skills in math and quantitative reasoning?

  • Are you an independent self-starter who is equally comfortable working alone and with others?

  • Are you highly organized, with excellent attention to detail?

  • Are you seeking rigorous research training, and are you passionate about pursuing a career in research?

If you answered "yes" to the above questions, you may be interested in applying to UofL to pursue doctoral studies in the Stress & Health Lab.

Persons interested in clinical work, including clinical work with trauma survivors, should seek other programs that are a better match for these interests.

I will be reviewing applications for prospective students seeking admission for Fall 2012.  I am not able to answer individual e-mail queries from prospective applicants.
