Clinical Graduate Student Awards

Each year, the clinical psychology faculty hold a reception to recognize exemplary graduate students in the clinical psychology doctoral program.  Awards for excellence in various areas were presented to students, as well as the Stanley A. Murrell Scientist-Practitioner Award.

Stanley A. Murrell Scientist-Practitioner Award

The Stanley A. Murrell Scientist-Practitioner Award was established by the clinical psychology faculty to be awarded annually to an advanced student exemplifying the scientist-practitioner model. The award honors Dr. Murrell's commitment to empirically-supported clinical practice and his generous support of current and future training in the Psychological Services Center.  Nominations are made by faculty, clinical supervisors, and peers based on the following criteria: 1) excellence in research, as evidenced by publications and conference presentations, and other scholarly contributions, 2) excellence in research-supported clinical practice, as evidenced by supervisor evaluations, peer commentary, or other materials supplied by nominators.

This year, we presented Allyn Richards with the annual SAM Award. Congratulations, Allie!
