Undergraduate Research Assistant
Professor: Dr. Suzanne Meeks
Type of position: Course Credit
Time commitment: Two semesters minimum. 3 credit hours = approximately 8-10 hours per week. Must attend one weekly lab meeting, which will be scheduled to accommodate students’ class times
Semesters position is available: Spring 2019, Summer 2019, Fall 2019
Location of work: Life Sciences building and miscellaneous nursing homes in Kentuckiana region
Qualification: 301/302 completed. Will need own transportation.
Brief description of projects: We have one project currently; it involves recruiting and interviewing in nursing homes. This study focuses on quality of life at the end of life.
Specific tasks: Distribute and administer questionnaires in nursing homes and collect completed questionnaires. Code data in SPSS. Recruit nursing homes; contact with nursing home staff. Attend lab meetings and complete background readings as assigned.
