Board of Trustees - members are appointed by the governor and they are responsible for the overall governance of the university. The board's primary responsibilities are to set university policy and to oversee the activity of the president.

Board of Overseers - advisory board to the president with specific responsibilities to enhance the university programs, serve as a resource to the President for strategic planning and strengthen external relations.

Athletic Association - oversee the business and financial operations of the athletics department; such as employment of the athletic director, intercollegiate relations, and membership in associations of universities and colleges organized for the regulation of athletics.

Research Foundation - administration and accounting for grants and contracts
