Marie Abrams

Marie Abrams graduated from Atherton High School and received her B.A. in Social Science from the University of Louisville.  Marie is married to Ronald Abrams and they have two children and one grandson.

Now retired, Marie was Legislative Aide to former KY Senator David Karem, an associate for the Corradino Group, Legislative Aide to former Chairman of the Kentucky Senate Appropriations and Revenue Committee, Administrative Assistant to former Governor Wendell Ford, and public school teacher.

Marie is on the Board of Directors for the Quality and Charity Care Trust, and past chair and current member of the Executive Committee of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs.  Marie was one of 15 Jewish leaders who met with Jordan’s King Abdullah II during his visit to Washington, D.C., in 2004, and chaired a small group of national Jewish Leaders who met with President Mubarak of Egypt in 2005.

Current Offices/Positions Held on the Board:  Chair, Bylaws and Policies Committee; Member, Academic and Student Affairs Committee, Personnel Committee.
