SPECIAL ATTENTION PROVINCE COMMUNITY
The University of Louisville Police Department is investigating two incidents of unknown suspects entering apartments at the Province Apartments and demanding narcotics and money. One incident occurred on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 1:00 PM and the other incident occurred on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 11: 00 AM. Both incidents occurred in the 700 block of Rockerey Way.
The victims advised that in both incidents the suspect(s) knocked on the door and when they entered displayed semi-automatic handguns and demanded “the dope and the money”. After taking cash the suspects fled on foot.
In the April 30, 2010 incident the victims described the suspect as follows:
The suspect is a black male, approx. 5’11”, early 20s, 175 lbs, light skin, clean shaven, and black hair in corn rows down to his shoulders. The suspect was wearing a white T-shirt, dark jeans, and an LA Dodgers baseball cap.
In the May 1, 2010 incident the victims described the suspects as follows:
Suspect #1 is a black male, 6’0”, early 20s, 160 lbs, with short hair. The suspect was wearing a red and blue hoody and white basketball shorts.
Suspect #2 is a black male, 6’0”, early 20s, 160 lbs. The suspect was wearing a blue hoody and white basketball shorts.

The following are suggestions, which may help prevent you from becoming the victim of this type of crime:
• Keep your dorm or apartment doors locked.
• Do not open your door to unknown subjects. Ask questions until you are satisfied.
• Remain alert and watchful for suspicious activity.
• Be alert for anything suspicious and if you sense something wrong call the police.
