The planetarium offers rich, engaging, summer camps
that spark a life-long love of science.  

Activities are designed to help kids learn to
work cooperatively as well as individually while
building inquiry and problem solving skills.

Art Stars Camp (entering grades 1-3): July 15 - 19, 9 AM - 4 PM

Budding da Vincis delight in discovering the wonderful and amazing connections between art and science as they explore rainbows, shadows, and constellations while creating self-portraits, mosaics and other engaging, hands-on projects. The week is topped off with a camp gallery opening, allowing parents to view all of the marvelous creations.

Space Adventure Camp (entering grades 2-4) June 10 - 14 (The week of June 17 is now closed)

Space Adventure camp leads kids on a warp-speed exploration of our universe. Campers plunge into astronaut training activities, create comets, launch rockets, build telescopes and much, much more in this engaging, hands-on camp.

2012girloven1.jpgSpace Engineering Camp (entering grades 5-6): July 29 - August 2, 9 AM - 4 PM

Campers probe with probes, design solar ovens, craft human sun dials, and experience astronaut training while exploring human interactions with space in this technology rich, interactive camp. Kids end the week with testing their Mars Landers with an egg drop!

*NEW* Space Engineering Camp (entering grades 7-9) June 24 - 28, 9 AM - 4 PM

Curiosity and a love of space propel campers through this week-long exploration of our relationship with the universe. Kids use technology to probe and experiment while creating science projects that fuel their desire to learn.
