Our Place in Space - Saturdays @ 11:00
am
Join Scarlet Macaw, Indy Elephant, and Paula
Polar Bear as they solve a crossword puzzle.
Along the way they will learn why we have night
and day, explore the Sun and planets, and things
astronomical. This program
is suitable for children ages 5 to 8.
The Planets - Friday @ 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., and Saturday @ 1:00 pm
The Planets, produced by the Southeast Planetarium Association, provides an in-depth look of each planet. The 37-minute show is narrated by actress Kate Mulgrew, best known for her role in Star Trek: Voyager, and is geared for middle to high-school students. The show is enhanced, updated and specifically designed to immerse the audience in current images from NASA missions, including the Hubble Telescope, and bring them along for the exploration as though they are traveling through space.
Skies Over Louisville - 1st Saturday of each
month. July 5 @ 9:00 p.m.
Join us for an in-depth tour of the stars,
constellations, and planets visible from your own
backyard. Following the program explore the skies
with telescopes - weather permitting.
