Field Experiences at the Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium for Grades K-12

mars-rover.jpg

The Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium now offers field experiences designed to address the National Science Education Standards as well as state-level core curriculum science standards. These engaging experiences are only possible in our unique facility where complex data and information comes to life on the dome. Students are immersed in easy-to-comprehend visual information that is enhanced with live demonstrations and discussions led by planetarium educators.

Congratulations to the winners of our fall 2011 promotion: Paula Do of St. Fancis of Assisi won a free field experience and East Oldham County Middle School is the winner of five field experiences. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your students' educational journey.

Field experiences are organized by grades. Click on the categories listed below for detailed information.
(Note: 1.5 hour field experiences are offered September - May; however groups may book a one-hour show with a star talk year-round)
