Saturday, May 10, is National Astronomy Day.
Activities from 10 am - 2 pm
The Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium is joining planetariums, museums and other venues across the country to participate in this celebration organized by Astronomy Magazine. Meade Instruments Corp is giving away an ETX-80 telescope at each venue as well as one 8-inch LX-90 as a national grand prize. In addition to the drawing for the Meade telescope and other prizes, there will be free activities for the whole family as well as hourly shows on the night sky at the discounted rate of $4. Show includes a free starmap.
