LALS Internship Poster Session and Celebration of LALS December Graduates; Wednesday, November 28, 2012; 3:30-4:30, Shumaker Research Building, Room 139; Featuring presentations by Brittany Stevenson and Kristen Connors about their LALS Internships in Peru. Please come and show your support of your fellow LALS students.

LALS December 2012 Graduates: We will celebrate all December Grads at the Internship Poster Session. We have cords and certificates for you. 11^th Annual Study Abroad Program in Panama, May 1-28, 2013: We are now accepting applications for our Annual Study Abroad Program in Panama, co-sponsored by LALS and the Department of Communication. Applications available online at the LALS website. Bring the completed application to the LALS offices in Stevenson Hall. Panama Scholar Awards and Communication Awards are available. Deadline: December 10, 2012.

LALS Winter & Holiday Assistance Drive for Big Brothers Big Sisters ; Now through December 5, 2012. Please bring items (hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, toys for children ages 7-18) to donate to Stevenson 304.

LALS Volunteers needed for the Latino Multicultural Fair, December 8, 2012; 10:00-3:00; SAC. Register here.  Please contact Dr. Buchanan and let her know if you have registered. Over 400 Latino students from all over the state will attend. Greeters, interpreters, and general helpers are needed. This would be a great way to complete the required hours of service for the LALS Club!

Advising for Spring Classes for LALS Minors, Major, Graduate Certificate, and Internships: If you did not make an advising appointment about spring and summer classes or internships for the spring or summer, please do so immediately. We are compiling a chart that lists the semester that you intend to graduate and the semester that you intend to conduct the LALS internship (required for minors and majors) and an option for Graduate students. Please send a message with this information to Dr. Buchanan.
