Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher. PeopleSoft strongly recommends Microsoft's
Internet Explorer 5.5 (with Service Pack 2) or higher. For Macintosh
users, Internet Explorer 5. PeopleSoft will not work correctly
when using Netscape. Look here

Should
I use my userid or emplid to log into PeopleSoft?
Your userid. If you do not know your userid, you can find out here.
Enter your emplid or Social Security number, click the Search button,
and the results will return with your userid.
What
are self-service applications and how do I use them?
Self-service applications allow employees to modify some of the information
that appears in the GroupWise address book. Automatic account creation
is also a self-service function. For more information on self service,

Can
the PeopleSoft client be removed from workstations?
Do not remove portions of PeopleSoft 7.x clients from PCs yet. After
the implementation of 8.0 is complete, IT will distribute complete recommendations
and instructions.
This is a complicated process,
with many of the decisions being based on who the user is and what functions
the user performs. There are a few people who will continue to need
the client for various reasons.
Also, don't confuse the Student
Administration / Human Resources PeopleSoft which we just upgraded with
the Financials PeopleSoft system which will continue to require the
client. IT will test various situations to determine the best way to
remove SA/HR without damaging Financials.
Is the
Oracle Client still needed for web-based PeopleSoft?
It may not be needed at this point, but please wait before removing
until IT can test the PeopleSoft and Oracle systems together. Recommendations
and instructions will be distributed after testing.
How
can I view my paycheck online?
From the PeopleSoft
sign-in window:
- Enter your userid and
password
- Click Sign-in
- Choose HR Self Service
- Click on Employee -
View - View Paycheck
I'm
having trouble viewing my paycheck. What's the problem?
Check to see if you have the TLS 1.0 setting selected on your browser.
In Internet Explorer, select Tools - Internet Options - Advanced. Scroll
down to find TLS 1.0. If it is checked, uncheck it.
How
can I get to PeopleSoft?
The link to PeopleSoft 8 is available from the faculty
and staff page on U of L's web site, News
Break, and the ULink
portal.
What is
ULink?
ULink is a feature provided with PeopleSoft 8. In the future, ULink
will be the site for internal news and information and a point of access
for employees and students to conduct university business. Currently,
entering PeopleSoft 8 through ULink is optional. A PeopleSoft 8 link
and some other features are available at ULink
now. New links and features will be added in the coming weeks and in
the more distant future. In short, the page will change to accommodate
employee and student needs.
