Minority Business Directory
| To encourage and promote
minority businesses, the University of Louisville SUN program in conjunction
with the Office for Economic Development (OED), The Louisville/Jefferson
Count Purchasing Department, Neighborhood Development Corporation (NDC),
Neigborhood Place UJIMA, and Business PLUS, has created the following alphabetical
listing of minority owned and operated businesses in Louisville, Jefferson
County, Kentucky. The previous list of minority owned businesses located
at this site has been updated to reflect the growth of small, minority
owned businesses in the area. The SUN program graduate assistants called
all businesses which were previously listed. The students then contacted
the aforementioned community partners to obtain copies of their listings
of minority owned business The lists were cross referenced and changes
made accordingly. Over 70 new businesses have been added to this list,
and currently more businesses are being found. It is the intention of the
SUN program to maintain and update the list periodically with newly created,
minority owned businesses. |
