RN-BSN Online - Program Details
The curriculum in the RN-BSN program at UofL allows working nurses to pursue a bachelor’s degree. RN-BSN students can transfer credits from other regionally accredited institutions and complete the required nursing courses (31 credit hours) at UofL.
Nursing courses in this program are specifically designed for the RN who wants to gain advanced knowledge in nursing and provide leadership in an evolving health care system. Working students may complete the program in 5-semesters, on a part-time schedule, or take longer to accommodate life demands and commitments. While all coursework may be completed online, students must fulfill the clinical requirement through a practicum project in community health, which they can conduct in their hometown.
The RN-BSN program is one of several programs offered by the School of Nursing at the University of Louisville, but is the only program offered 100% online. To learn about other nursing programs and activities at UofL, visit the School of Nursing website.
