University of Louisville and Kent School of Social Work offer a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) completely online for professionals who have a bachelor’s degree in any area of study other than social work.

The MSSW online degree allows you to gain a deeper, more complex understanding of the social work occupation, critically evaluate and contemplate the class material while experimenting with the flexible application of the knowledge in a variety of social contexts.

The MSSW online coursework helps you develop skills and knowledge focused around 1) children and families, 2) health and mental health, and 3) community and international practice.

With our 60 credit hour MSSW online degree you can enter or advance your career in the social work field. You can opt for a 3 year or 4 year curriculum plan that accommodates your learning style, professional and personal commitments and schedule, and helps you achieve your goals at your own pace.

BSW graduates: Kent School of Social Work will also offer an "Advanced Standing" 30 credit hour program designed for students who already hold a Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSW). The Advanced Standing program will start in Fall 2014.
