The University of Louisville and School of Accountancy offer an online Certificate in Accounting designed for professionals with various backgrounds who want to pursue careers in public accounting as CPAs, as well as accounting careers in for-profit, not-for-profit and governmental organizations. Typical students arrive from all industries and go on to lead successful careers in public accounting, auditing, banking and financial services, manufacturing, tax preparation and more.
The program is comprised of 7 accounting courses and 4 prerequisite courses (33 credit hours), which provides sufficient accounting credit hours to sit for the CPA exam in Kentucky.
