| Open Door Dialogue is an internal communications program within the University Advancement Department at UofL that makes it easy for staff to talk with senior managers. The idea behind the program is to provide a comfortable, informal environment where senior managers can meet face-to-face with employees to discuss ideas, concerns, suggestions and more. While many senior managers within University Advancement already practice an “open door all the time” philosophy, this program formalizes certain times and dates so employees feel comfortable dropping in to talk. | ![]() |

NOTE: The initial kick off of Open Door Dialogue Days includes managers within UA who have at least seven people reporting to them. The list may be expanded in the future. Employees who plan to visit a manager during Open Door Dialogue Days should confirm that the manager is still available as work, personal and family emergencies may disrupt the schedule. The program is a “first come first served” system. We also ask that employees take some time to prepare for their discussion which may include offering specific ideas for new processes, solutions and programs.
