An external research mentor program was established in 1998 and 14 faculty have received research mentoring through this program. A strategic goal of the school is to engage undergraduate and graduate students in the research process. Many students work on faculty research and present posters at professional meetings. The Research Committee is very active in promoting a mentored experience for students to attend regional and national nursing research meetings. Funding for these activities is contributed by alumni and a small endowment fund to support student research. Office of Nursing Research Policies Ruth B.
