  • Healthfinder
    From the Department of Health and Human Services. Topics such as prevention & wellness, diseases & conditions, and alternative medicines are provided. Additional resources include medical dictionaries, an encyclopedia, journal access, and more.Special health topics are organized by age from kids to seniors as well as by race and ethnicity. Information about doctors, dentists, public clinics, hospitals, long term care, nursing homes, health insurance, prescriptions, health fraud, Medicare, Medicaid, and medical privacy are also included. Healthfinder resources are also available in Spanish at http://www.healthfinder.gov/espanol.
  • Ethnomed - numerous patient education materials available in a variety of different languages
  • Asian Language pamphlets on Nutrition and Physical Activity
  • Health Translations Directory - This directory links to online multilingual health resources from government departments, peak health bodies, hospitals, community health centres and welfare agencies. Health practitioners who work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities can use this directory to find reliable translated health information. Search by topic, by language, or both. Your search results will include an English summary of the information, a link to a complete English language version and a link to information in the language you requested.
  • National Network for Immunization Information (NNii) has a free comprehensive immunization kit to help healthcare providers discuss immunization with their patients. The kit provides accessible information on everything from immunization recommendations to common questions and concerns. All materials are the product of extensive research with parents, physicians, nurses, immunization experts, and risk communication specialists.The kit is available in the Adobe Acrobat PDF format.   • Spanish Language Patient Education Materials
    This site, a collaboration between the U. of Utah Health Science Center and the Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library, provides patient education materials on various topics in Spanish.
  • Centers for Disease Control
    Selected patient education materials from the CDC are also available in Spanish at www.cdc.gov/spanish .Website information is translated so that Spanish speaking users can navigate the resources provided here. Topics include allergies, tobacco, illness, immunizations, mental health, dental topics and more.

  • MEDLINEplus: Hispanic American Health
    From the National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health, this has links to information on diseases, conditions, and wellness issues related to Hispanic Americans.Many of the resources available from MEDLINEplus are also available in Spanish at http://medlineplus.gov/esp/.Users can also select the “español” link for translated pages.

  • CDC's Fruit and Vegetable Webpage learn more about the National Fruit & Vegetable Program and help you encourage others to eat a colorful variety of fruits and vegetables.
    • In the Research section you will find fruit and vegetable consumption surveillance data, and information on various fruit and vegetable programs.
    • In the Resources & Tools section you will find many valuable Internet and legislative resources.

    The American FactFinder service provides more in-depth data on states, counties, cities and towns. Data from this site can be transformed into tables, charts, graphs and maps. Geographic comparison tables can also be created through the American FactFinder site.
  • Health of Hispanic/Latino Population
    From the Centers for Disease Control and the National Center for Health Statistics, this site provides users with statistical information on the health of the Hispanic/Latino population in the United States taken from CDC reports.
  • The Office of Minority Health - Latino/Hispanic Profile
    From the Department of Health and Human Services, this site offers healthcare providers a resource for special issues relating to Latino health. Statistical data on health and social issues in the Latino population as well as links to more detailed data sites are included.
  • US Census Bureau - Facts on the Latino or Hispanic Population
    This site provides a collection of links to statistical data relating to various facets of the Latino or Hispanic community. Links to reports and data are updated and provide access to the latest government statistics on the Latino or Hispanic community. Links to more data on special topics such as age, children, income, employment and education are included. This is a first rate site with up to date links and information.
