Vicki Hines-Martin, PhD, CNS, RN, FAAN

UofL School of Nursing professor Vicki Hines-Martin, PhD, CNS, RN, FAAN,received the Melva Jo Hendrix Lectureship Award at the 2012 annual meeting of the International Society of Psychiatric Nursing (ISPN). The award acknowledges psychiatric-mental health nurses whose careers exemplify the values and principles of Melva Jo Hendrix, DNSc, RN, FAAN. Hendrix had an unswerving commitment to improving care for the underserved, stigmatized, or disenfranchised, with a dedication to mentoring others. Hines-Martin will be the Keynote Speaker at the 2013 ISPN 15th Annual Meeting.

 

Debbie V. Thomas, EdD, ARNP, PMHCNS-BC

University of Louisville School of Nursing associate professor Debbie V. Thomas, EdD, ARNP, PMHCNS-BC, received the International Psychiatric Nurse Educator Award at the 2012 annual meeting of the International Society of Psychiatric Nursing (ISPN). This award acknowledges exceptional creativity and effectiveness in curriculum development, teaching strategies, student recruitment and support, educational outreach and/or other activities by a psychiatric-mental health nurse educator.
