School of Nursing names acting associate dean of graduate programs

Dr. Ruth “Topsy” Staten

Dr. Ruth “Topsy” Staten has assumed the position of acting associate dean of graduate programs, replacing Dr. Lee Ridner who served in the role from 2011- June 30, 2017.

Staten also continues to lead the school’s baccalaureate academics as associate dean of undergraduate programs, a position she has held since 2013. She is supported by the appointment of six program directors:

  • Dr. Becky Christian, Director of the PhD Program
  • Dr. Sara Robertson,  Director of the DNP Program
  • Dr. Diane Chlebowy, Director of the Master’s Entry into Professional Nursing (MEPN) Program
  • Dr. Heather Mitchell, Director of the BSN Traditional Program, Louisville
  • Amy Higdon (DNP in progress), Director of the BSN Traditional, Owensboro Extension Program
  • Dr. Mary DeLetter, Director of the RN-BSN Program
