MEPN Program to Launch this Summer

The Master’s Entry into Professional Nursing (MEPN) is designed for people who already have a bachelor’s degree in another area who want to pursue a career – or a second career, in some cases – in nursing. Launching in Summer 2015, the program will provide students with a general foundation in nursing with additional skills in the application of evidence-based practice and leadership.

“This program is a wonderful opportunity for college graduates who became interested in a nursing career after completing their first degrees,” said Trish Hart, assistant dean for student affairs. “We are also looking forward to working with professionals interested in entering the nursing workforce leadership-ready.”

Upon completion of the six semester program, students will receive both a bachelor of science in nursing and a master of science in nursing. Students will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) for registered nursing licensure.
