Carlee Lehna, Ph.D., and Home Fire Safety Team receive Community Engagement Award

Carlee Lehna is presented with the Community Service Award

Carlee Lehna, Ph.D., A.P.R.N.-B.C. and her Home Fire Safety Team have received one of the 7th annual Community Engagement Awards in the faculty category in recognition of their efforts to improve the safety of individuals and families in the community. Lehna and her team provided education interventions to 279 elderly individuals and made 113 home visits.

Lehna was presented with a plaque and $2,500 at the award ceremony, held Monday, September 21 at Bigelow Hall in the Miller information Technology Center. The Community Engagement Awards recognize University of Louisville faculty, staff, students and community partners for their involvement in outstanding community engagement service.
