About
The particular expertise of the ANP emphasizes disease prevention, health promotion, and the management of patients with acute and chronic multi-system health problems. Upon completion of the program, graduates receive a Master’s degree in Nursing and are eligible to take the national ANP certification exam. ANP graduates are usually employed in primary care medical offices, rural health clinics, nursing homes, hospitals, and specialty practice offices.

Clinical
The ANP program requirements include 630 clinical hours performing supervised clinical activities. Supervision is provided by clinical preceptors (physicians and/or nurse practitioners) in private medical offices, clinics, acute care settings, hospitals, home health, and nursing homes.
