6th Annual Spring Festival
The Harambee Nursing Center’s 6th Annual Spring Festival was a tremendous success in March 2008, with 80 adults and nearly 100 youth attending.
The event was sponsored by the University of Louisville School of Nursing Alumni Association, Harambee Nursing Center, Presbyterian Community Center, University Hospital, James Graham Brown Cancer Center and Making Connections Network.
The Festival offered a wide range of health information and free screenings including
cholesterol, blood pressure, HIV/AIDS, depression, dental and vision. The Norton Cancer Prevention and Screening bus was also on site.
Those in attendance also had the chance to learn about career and financial information. There were over 40 booths and 75 vendors and volunteers.
