International Learning Opportunities for Nursing Majors
The Global Health Scholar Program provides the opportunity and incentive for University of Louisville advanced practice nursing students to pursue their passions for global health through the completion of a directed program of activities that prepares students with a foundation for global health care practice. The student will participate in didactic classroom lectures, analyze and discuss required readings, participate in medical learning experiences abroad, and complete a capstone project focused on global health issues.
Global Health Lecture Series
Below are the dates and times for the Global Health Lecture series. Faculty and students are invited to attend these free inter-professional lectures that are held on selected Tuesdays at noon in HB 202. These lectures are provided by a variety of faculty and are part of the requiremetns for the new Global Health Scholar Program. Please feel free to share this information.

International Service Learning Opportunities for Nursing Majors
Below is the list of trips that are held throughout the year. Note that the School of Nursing faculty currently offer nursing-specific programming in both Belize and Croatia. Nursing students are also welcome to participate in any of the other trips, but would be registering for a course outside of the School of Nursing-for example, Communication, Justice Administration or Psychology. Please check with the ISLP website for more specifics. you can also email Dr. Whitney Nash, Director of Practice and International Affairs for additional questions.

Croatia: Mid-May, specific date TBA
Fees range from $2,500 to $3,400 (tuition is included in the price for full-time students)
Note that these programs are open to undergraduate as well as graduate students.
