Upper Division
Traditional BSN
Sixty students are admitted twice per year into the upper division traditional BSN in Louisville, and an additional twenty students are admitted to the Owensboro program twice per year. To be eligible, students must be admitted to the traditional lower division at UofL, have all lower division requirements completed or enrolled in, and carry a 2.8 cumulative and program GPA at the time of application.
Students can apply for upper division for Fall (May 1 deadline) or for the Spring (September 15 deadline).
Second Degree Accelerated BSN
Forty students are accepted once per year into the upper division second degree accelerated BSN. To be eligible, students must be admitted to the lower division at UofL, have a completed bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, have all lower division requirements completed or enrolled in, and carry a 2.8 cumulative and program GPA at the time of application. Students start the upper division June of every year.
The deadline to apply is March 1.
Students who apply for the second degree accelerated upper division are not eligible to apply for the fall cohort (May 1 deadline) of the traditional upper division in the same year.
