Dr. Randall Atlas |
Dr. Randall Atlas is a registered architect and practitioner of criminal justice architecture, environmental security design, counter terror design, and infrastructure protection. An American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) Certified Protection Professional (CPP), he is an appointed member of the ASIS Security Architectural and Engineering Committee, and a faculty member at the organization’s annual Faculty Design Workshop. Dr. Atlas has taught CPTED and criminal justice courses at four universities, the American Institute of Architects and the American Society of Industrial Security. He has also conducted CPTED and security audits for many U.S. cities. Dr. Atlas has served as a consultant with the National Institute of Justice, National Institute of Corrections, and the Florida Department of Corrections. He has conducted ADA surveys for private and public sector clients, served as expert witness on hundreds of premises liability lawsuits, and spoken at numerous security conferences. Dr. Atlas also has published several hundred articles in industry periodicals and journals. |
Stanley L. Carter |
Stanley L. Carter is a law enforcement specialist who served 27 years in the City of Sarasota’s Police Department. During his tenure, he served as a special projects and long-range panning officer for the director of public safety, founding member and co-chair of the City’s CPTED task team, and liaison for multi-departmental projects including community planning, development review, and update of land development regulations. He also provided assistance, law enforcement coordination and crime data analysis for local business and neighborhood associations. Captain Carter is a graduate of the Administrative Officer’s Course at the University of Louisville’s Southern Police Institute and holds an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Manatee Community College. He is a past chairman of the Florida CPTED Network. |
